Training & Experience

Rebecca Goldberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) who specializes in treating mental health issues across the lifespan.  Ms. Goldberg is currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia (DC), Illinois, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

 

Ms. Goldberg works with children, adolescents and adults in various therapy settings, including individual, group and family psychotherapy.  She specializes in treatment of individuals and families with Neurodivergence (ND) or Autism,  ADHD, learning differences, developmental delays, sensory integration challenges, social needs, behavioral challenges, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma histories including but not limited to neglect, sexual, and physical abuse, adjustment disorders, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, anger management, parent-child relationship issues, and gender exploration and LGBTQIA+ needs.


Ms. Goldberg is a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist certified through Fluence after extensive training.  She offers ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and offers therapy support for preparation, dosing and integration.  She works collaboratively with several local clinics and medicating providers to support her clients through this healing modality.

 

Ms. Goldberg is a member of the National Association for Social Workers (NASW), Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Workers (GWSCSW), Washington Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (WSPP), International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), and Association for Play Therapy (APT).  Ms. Goldberg holds a certification in Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice, advanced training in play therapy modalities, and Pediatric EMDR as a Child Specialist Level 1 through the Agate Institute.   Ms. Goldberg is also a Certified EMDR Therapist and is expanding her services to include Clinical Hypnosis and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.  Ms. Goldberg believes in lifelong learning and is continuously attending trainings and participating in advanced learning and supervision opportunities.
